Why do you love your job?

I have always had a passion for animals. Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by the animal world and knew this was the field I wanted to work in! As I grew older, I realised I also wanted to teach. Working for ZooLab allows me to live out BOTH of my dream jobs!

What is your favourite Jungle Room animal?

My favourite Jungle Room animal is Squirt, my three year old Horsefield tortoise. He has such a grumpy face, however he is the cutest and happiest animal I know!

Interesting fact about yourself?

I can speak French and play guitar.  I once had to sing at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall in front of 2000 people, it was terrifying!

Background?

I have an HND in Acting and Performance. This has provided me with the skills to perform to large groups with my animals.

I love my job because I get to work with animals all day. It's great to inspire people's interest and love of animals. There is just something awesome about teaching people facts that change their perspective about unusual and exotic animals.

It has to be Severus our Burmese Python! He's amazing!

Interesting fact about yourself?

I'm off to Canada this August on a nature trek! I'm really excited to see the national parks Wells Gray, Jasper, Banff  and Yoho.

Qualifications/Experience?

I have just finished my honours degree in Animal Biology.

Why do you love your job?

Since I was little, I have always wanted to work alongside animals. My role at The ZooLab Jungle Room lets me do just that!

What is your favourite Jungle Room animal?

My favourite animal has got to be the panther chameleon, George Pascal. He is so lovable and very brightly coloured!

What is an interesting fact about yourself?

Before working at The ZooLab Jungle Room, I had a fear of snakes. Since learning more about them, I am beginning to get over my fear and love them the same way that I love George!
